Kia ora, I am an entomologist with over 20 years of experience in Integrated Pest Management, Biological Control, Biosecurity and Postharvest disinfestation treatments. I have worked on a number of horticultural crops including kiwifruit, pipfruit, summerfruit, citrus, tamarillos, feijoas, macadamias and onions and enjoy working with industry and growers to investigate and find sustainable pest management solutions. I have also worked overseas (including New Caledonia, Samoa, Australia, USA) on a number of biological control and postharvest projects. I have expertise in New Zealand biosecurity incursions including Painted Apple Moth and Gum Leaf Skeletoniser, and risk assessment and release of biological control agents.
