As the Relationship and Development Manager, I lead the strategic development in working with our research and commercial collaborators in China to achieve mutual benefits economically and scientifically. I am also involved with our New Zealand partners on projects undertaken in China, e.g. commercialising Plant & Food Research technologies and cultivars. I grew up in a family business environment in China as my father operated a commercial paper retail and wholesale business for 20 years. Originally coming to New Zealand in 2003 as an international student, I completed a Bachelor of Consumer and Applied Food Science at the University of Otago. Prior to working at Plant & Food Research in 2013, I worked in the meat export sector in a technical and compliance role, as well as a product manager in a high-value dairy exporter.
